I'm planning on ordering up a pair of the Styleforum Fango slippers, and trying to dial in sizing.

My previous experience with Viberg has been:
  • Scout boots on 2030 last, size 13: Good in length, but a bit tight in the toes.
  • Engineer boots on 2005 last, size 13: Fine in length with thin socks, but too loose. Snug width with thick socks, but too short in length.
I'm normally a US 14 / UK (and Viberg) 13.

Viberg suggest going down one size, which would be a 12, but the reviews that I've seen on r/goodyearwelt make me think that might be too much. Anyone got any experience with this style?

Looking for a pretty typical 2030 Service Boot.

Looking at Crust CXL from Viberg direct.
Love the crust horsehide, but no 8.5's I can find.

Anything else I should consider that is similar from the stockists? Can be darker then Natural CXL tone also?

Prefer plaintoe over perf cap.

Or if anyone has something they are looking to move, let me know.

The Snuff Kudu from Brooklyn Clothing.
The colour seemed a bit darker, which i liked considerately more.

The gents from BCC were awesome to deal with, and I got my boots within two days.

Pretty excited to say the least.
How has your kudu stretched so far? Crease, stain, patina, pics if any?

Love these. Anyone know how to get rid of those two notches on the right boot? They came like that. Also there is a little (and I mean little) tear going on at the back heel panel under the top piping. Do I leave it be or try to put some kind of glue there? Reading all the accounts where shell is prone to tearing got me shook.

I'm sure it's fine and wouldn't worry about. I'd just recommend to maybe send an email to Viberg along with the photo and ask if anything could be done about it.

Thanks for the reassurance. I did email and they said not to worry it should be fine. I just hope rubbing with jeans won't exacerbate the problem. Probably overthinking it.

I don't even see the tear. As for the "notches" I'm assuming you mean the creases? Sure, they shouldn't really have come with creases, but take a few steps in the boots and they're gonna crease. Those are fine, it's not like boots are gonna be uncreased. Nothing you can do to take creases out of a boot though.

Yeah the tear is really small but it's there nonetheless. Like I said wouldn't want it to get bigger.

I know I'm trying to alleviate them. The creasing is really deep so much that pushing up from the inside doesn't even smoothen them out if not I would've stuffed it with paper. Shoe tree doesn't do anything to it.
