I have the Scout boot in Tan Buffalo leather on the 2030 last -- it is one of my favourite boots. Love the texture on them. I highly recommend.

for people who have the icy mochas -a re you using shoe trees? the unlined toe box is so shallow whenever i try to put in trees it looks bulgey, and i'm worried about stretching.

I have the same issue! I am using trees because I feel wrong not doing it and want to preserve the boot as much as possible. I had to play around a bit though. I typically use Epic twin tube trees but they have a pretty high vamp and do not work at all. The Jos A. Bank brand Allen Edmonds trees were the ones I have settled on. They still do not fill up the toe box as much but are not protruding as much as others.

I might try going down a size. I have a bunch of different sizes for different shoes.

This is very helpful. Any chance you can post up (at your convenience) some more pics from other angles?

I have the olive 3sixteen Vibergs coming. 33% chance I will keep them, so look out for a pair in the marketplace

I spoke too soon - I do have a gap in my boot rotation (non cordovan brown tone). Let's see how they look when I get them. I need some variety in my shoe life anyway.

You might want to try Alden trees, since Alden also has such a low profile.

My Vibergs have "left Canada" according to CanadaPost. Hopefully they get here Friday or Saturday.

I went with size 9.5; I wear 9.5E in Barrie. I think that should work. I go with size 10 in most shoes/boots that don't have wide sizes (C&J, Marlow, etc)...

Got these 3Sixteen/Viberg collab boots yesterday. I was on the fence about the partially structured toe, but I had to nab them to make sure.

Yup, they're awesome. Blacked-out is the way to go. The raw edges of the regular black CXL boots didn't do it for me.

^^ Whoa, looks the boot fairy has been spreading some love around.. More pics of both of these please. And comparison with sizing, fit, and feel to other boots you've worn...?

    Thanks!
