My little monster heeler added some "patina" to my Natural CXL Service Boots. Can probably buff it out with some conditioner, but I kinda like it!

The condition of these is insane. How often do you wear them?

EDIT: out of curiosity, are these a size 7.5 that were sold as new on eBay last year? If so I almost bid on them.

These are 8.5, purchased from a fellow SFer. I'd guess they have 20 wears total now?

If anyone who pre-ordered the Viberg "Spymasters" in a size 9.5 is having or has second thoughts when they arrive, I will gladly take them off your hands. Just let me know. Thanks!

Hello all-

As a long time Alden guy, I received my first pair of Vibergs yesterday. Wow are they incredible! I got these Service Boots on the 2030 in size 7 from Division Road, Inc.:

https://divisionroadinc.com/collections/viberg/products/viberg-service-boot-2030-dainite-natural-cxl

Unfortunately, I think they might be a little bit too large. After trying them on three separate times on carpet for 2-3 minutes each, I notice significant amount of heal slippage/lift-up when I walk, even with thick socks. I wear a 6.5D or 7D on the Alden Barrie & TruBalance depending on whether or not I want to be able to wear thick socks with the shoe/boot. With these Vibergs tied snuggly I can fit ~1 finger behind my Achilles at the top of the boot. Does this fitment seem too large to be fixed with orthotics/heal pads/whatever else?

This is also my first pair of Danite soles, does this sole break-in and become more flexible? I'm wondering if the stiffness of the sole might be exacerbating the heal lift-up.

I have been looking for a perf. cap toe natural chromexcel boot that is made in the USA for so long, it's disappointing that, that makeup is so hard to find.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I wear a size 12 Alden Barrie and can only wear thinner socks up to a Wigwam Unison sock at thickest. I wear a size 12 Viberg as well in 2030 and it fits slightly bigger...so you should without a doubt be a 6.5 in Viberg IMHO.

yes Dainite will loosen up...however you may need to go tongue pad route if keeping them.

If you can't find a Spymaster in your size, have you considered the 2045 from Division Road? That's a cool makeup as well.
