Vest w/ a suit

I'm considering buying my first suit for my wedding. I'm looking at Brooks Bros. (because it's classic, some are US-made, decent price, etc.). I'd like to get a charcoal or dark grey suit with a matching vest, but BB's doesn't have vests w/ their suits on their website...

anyone know if they have vests for their suits in their stores? if not, do you think i'd be able to get a vest elsewhere that would match up?

Brooks is offering a linen three-piece at the moment, but that's the only one I know of. They don't sell matching vests as separates. As far as trying to track down a matching vest elsewhere, it would be effectively impossible. The slightest variation in the fabric or color would stand out sharply. But good luck with finding what you're looking for, and with the wedding. Congratulations!

A wedding would be one place where an odd vest would definitely work. Maybe a cream colored silk brocade.

One of my Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece is vested. With Brooks' summer sale going on now it may be worth calling the store at 346 Madison in New York and inquiring about a vested Golden Fleece in your size. As I understand, some of the GF suits are only $498 right now ($100 less than the retail of the BrooksEase). They should be more than happy to ship to you, too.

I have to believe that if you get a MTM Brooks Brothers you can request a Vest. That or call the BB store in New York and ask them if they have any vested suits in stock.

The location on Madison definatley has vested suits. I believe any of the Brooks Bros stores can order vests for many of their suits.

Really? I've had several conversations with the salesmen at my local store about the recent three-piece models, and they've always talked about how well they sold and how they wish more were available. I'd be quite happy to hear that they're incorrect.

(Bear in mind, I've also been told at this store, in very adamant fashion, that the Peal shoes are made at the Peal factory.)
