    Hello all

I'm having a three piece/power suit custom made for me. As we were talking through the options I was asked if the back would match the front.

I own many vests, but I've never had, or really noticed, the vest of a three piece suit with wool in the front and back. The vest will have a peaked lapel, 6 button, two pockets, no belt. It will be a dark navy suit with a red bead stripe that is faint and about an inch and a half apart.

What are the thoughts/feelings on the back lining? Is a silk back less, or more formal? If I stick to wool, the thought of putting a different color wool in the back.

Finally, what are your thoughts on whether the lapel should have the back portion of the collar or be a partial?

    Thank you for your input!

Silk black will look formal, maybe other color will look less formal. Different colour of wool is for odd vest.
Same wool is ok, and it will be warmer. If you wear 3 piece together, the collar is better to be partial, otherwise, the jacket collar is difficult to fit you properly because sometimes you may not wear a vest.

My personal opinion only and hope it may helps.
