I've read that if you are injured in say a street accident, paramedics will cut off your clothing for treatment, etc.

This is simply not acceptable.

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have blood stains on an Huntsman suit than a pair of tailored shorts. In fact, a disability might even be a legitimate reason to start using a walking stick.

I think a good idea would be to have one of those medical emergency bracelets engraved with: "Do Not Cut Clothing. I will sue for Assault."

You wouldn't end up with a pair of shorts, but rather a pair of "quick remove" pants, as medics will typically **** up the pants leg, rather than cut across it.

I understand your concerns, but were I ever to find myself in that situation, I think that I'd be more concerned for my life than for my clothing. I only have one life, but I have quite a few suits...

If they need to cut your clothing that means you will likely die if they do not cut your clothing. It's not a matter of walking stick or not.

What if your leg were broken? I suspect they would cut your pants if that happened.

That's why you should always look both ways, LK.

LK,every paramedics in the world must be trained to assess the quality of the trousers or the suit they're going to destroy...

The United Nations could ,like they do for chemicals ,give a star rating starting from 0 to 5 ,the highest giving clear indications to paramedics when to cut or not...

Starting from 0 star: Walmart clothes ,Hugo Boss suits ,Thom Browne ,tracksuits ,shellsuits to the Brioni,Kiton,Huntsman,Rubinacci,Atollini,Anderson&Sheppard,Henry Poole and many others...

One should consider that in most cases one should be grateful for the paramedics cutting up peoples clothes. Maybe I will try that next time I see someone in a horrible suit - just call the paramedics and tell them he has a broken leg or something.

Now I'm struck by the image of Tina Turner in an OCBD trying to chat up a gormless co-ed.
