I just bought a pair of Red Wing Foreman Chukkas, in Briar Oil Slick and they're real nice. I guess I'm feeling a little unsure (and maybe self-conscious?) about their versatility. They're not super clunky but they're not as sleek as something like an Alden or AE chukka might be. Can anyone speak to what you would or wouldn't wear these with? I have this idea that I could wear these out walking around a city, out in fields and light hikes (on an upcoming trip to the English countryside) and also into a nicer restaurant (when paired with a shirt and coat, for instance). Am I right to think they can work in all of those situations? Are they "too work-boot-esque" to be dressed up? Would you say they're the same, or more/less formal as something like the Alden Indy?
