Versatility of Fox Suede?

I think I already know the answer to this question, but will put it to the bright minds of the forum just to confirm:

Is the fox suede color (pictured below) a versatile enough suede to wear with a multitude of trouser throughout the seasons or is it too close to a 'tan' shade which has its limited uses? I know tan leather shoes generally aren't very versatile and cause a lot of contrast in a look when paired with most trouser colors and am hoping not to replicate the same difficulty if I pick up a shade of this suede.

Seems reasonable to wear it as a three season shoe.

Do you think these could be worn with a medium grey trouser or would they best be left treated as 'tan' in the sense they should really only be paired with a very light grey and lighter tan/browns?

I think light to mid gray and even navy, if you’re feeling a bit rakish. Lighter, summer colors like ivory/off white would look good as well.

As far as tans and browns, to my eye that’s more tricky. I suppose as long as there’s enough contrast it should be ok.

The other thing to keep in mind is balance with the top half of the outfit. I'd stay away from darker tones in your jacket/shirt/tie to avoid too much contrast with light-toned trousers and shoes. So if you're wearing a dark blue jacket and dark tie, for example, the tan shoes might look out of place compared to a dark brown or burgundy.

Fantastic color that will go with an incredible amount of other colors. Adding to the great examples above, these will wor with various shades of blue (even light blue), green and red if you're into summer colors e.g. in your chinos or bermudas. If you do pair them with darker colors, e.g. a navy suit, pick up the color again at least in the belt, if not a pocket square
