    (1) Who makes Versace watches pls? I was under the impression it was Ebel, but on eBay soem higher priced Versace watches are made by Frank Muller? (2) Noticed there is a new label out there: "VERSACE". Example is here. Does anybody know if this replaces GIANNI VERSACE COUTURE, VERSACE V2 CLASSIC, VERSUS, VERSACE JEANS COUTURE, or is merely a new label. Â If so, where does it fit in the quality price range - below GIANNI VERSACE COUTURE?

I do believe they are made by Ebel as a regular line. Perhaps some of the limited editions are made by Muller.

The gold Versace label replaces the former Gianni Versace Couture. Which was the highest line aside from the Atelier.

I have never heard of FM making any watches for Versace, and along those lines I don't recall Ebel making anything for Versace either...although nothing is out of bounds.

Of, course the question I would then ask is: why would you buy a Versace watch?

It is the same as Zegna manufacturing suits for Gucci, and etc. Also Omas makes pens for Versace. I am not too sure about Franck Muller though but I have seen them. Versace Watch

Geez, nearly 6 months old and gets a bump.

I suspect Jon like so many other brands for the "signature" or aesthetics of the watch, even if it isn't to your liking or quality standards.

Actually I was thinking of the monetary cost that is not quantified by the design, materials, movement, name recognition (for a watch), resale value, and so on and so fourth.

    Hi,

Versace watches were made by Ebel until sometime in the mid 1990s, then they were made by Muller and moved upscale in terms of price and quality. Now they are made by a contract manufacturer for Versace and are arguably of lower quality than at anytime before. I personally like the design of the Ebel watches best, and the automatics used well respected Piguet movements. The Franck Muller ones had excellent case and dial finish but were rather expensive.

    Regards,

    JiaXian
