Isn't G-Star European brand? I think from the Netherlands?
yes, it is a dutch brand
on topic: even versace mainline is crap, i don't get why this collab with h&m is relevant
Because kids, who can't afford the mainline stuff, can show off to their friends and say stuff like "Versace'd up today feeling super fresh".
I don't like versace these days. The company has so many different lines under Gianni sister's control. Versace, Versace Couture, Versace Jeans, Gianni Versace... etc
Versace has awesome design. But the pieces carried at Versace boutique and department stores are crap. Even at the boutique, almost all their men's clothing are Versace collection. It 's nowhere good compare to old Cersaces. Design are boring, logos are everywhere. Material is ok. construction is .
Those scarves are gonna be everywhere... goddamnit.
I might get those zebra pants just for clubbing, I'm sexy and I know it.
Girls look at that body because You work out?
This whole post is incorrect. Seeing as you are located in HK, do you not see who are the ones making the most purchases in the luxury brand and jewelery shops in hk everyday? Also, G-Star is not an American brand as mentioned already.
American, European, whatever. The point is it's foreign. Those mainlanders who buy stuff here are the rich .5-1% of Chinese society (generously, if they aren't 打腫臉充胖子) the rest of them will buy shit like g-star when they want to splurge.
A lot of that collection looks very 80s to me - Culture Club meets Duran Duran meets some New Wave band meets Miami Vice.
G-star is totally shit, they sometimes have interesting design. People buy it because they want it or like it for whatever reason.
G-star is not that cheap, for jeans about the same price as Acne / Nudies / etc. It's about why people don't buy other alternatives but buy G-star. It's just marketing.
They buy stuff they can afford. People are still buying Gucci and Vuittons. Gstars even abercrombies. I see no wrong with it.
End of this G-star thing. This thread is about H&M for Versace
It's not an american brand and is, historically, an important brand as far as jeans "innovations" go. Nowadays banlieue people in Europe dig that stuff a lot. Those collabs are ugly as fuck and if you're going to wear that corny Eurotrash crap it has to be like a €30,000 Cavalli white fox fur coat.
