Hello. Found a Vera Pelle wallet on eBay. Says Made in Italy and has Leonardo Divinci embosed into the leather. Are they a reputable leather goods company, or a cheap eBay scam?Originally Posted by Nataku

Haha, whoops! Show's how much I pay attention to spelling, let alone world-famous artists from medevil timesOriginally Posted by Nataku
Yeah, he's a distant relative to da Vinci, as Paolo Gucci is to the house of Gucci.Originally Posted by rnoldh
Actually, Paolo Gucci was a direct descendant (grandson?) of the Gucci founder (Guccio Gucci?) and was the design director of Gucci in the 1980s and was forced out during some of the acrimonious family battles of that period. After leaving, he threatened to start his own line of more mass-market Paolo Gucci clothing (which led to litigation); I've only seen it in Marshalls on occasion so I'm not sure if it ever really got off the ground. I believe he's dead now.Originally Posted by RJman
