Ventless Jackets

Ventless is very much an option for black-tie and it also looks good on those '40s-'50s type suits with built up shoulders and a relatively narrow waist. Usually, they are double-breasted.

I agree with every word of this. Virtually all of my suits are ventless, save maybe a half dozen RL Blue Labels that are single vent, which I much prefer to the absolutely hideous double vent.
