Venison Chili!

Thats right! Sat night went to Waterfront Ale House on 30th and 2nd in NYC...had venison chili nachos! Impressive! Anyone else ever try it/make it?

I've had it before, wasn't very impressed. Venison is lean, so unless you add in other meats with high fat content, or just extra fat, you'll get pretty dry meat in your chili.

I love venison in any form. My neighbor is an avid hunter and doesn't put anything on his table that he didn't kill. I'm not a hunter, but we have a little deal worked out. I supply him with the occasional bottle of bourbon and he supplies me with a pretty regular supply of venison.

I grew up eating a lot of venison, including venison chili. It can be very good, but make sure you drain the fat very well.

I'm not a hunter but Venison is very common among hunters in Texas.

My friends serve it all the time.

Venison is too dry and lean for me.

It can be OK in chili since it's mixed with so many other things and spices.

And 1/2 Pork 1/2 Venison sausage is very good.
