Came across this remarkebly well stocked vending machine. Selection was great and the prices even better. Ended up dropping 3 bills [IMG] edit - not seen are the two bottom rows with rice krispy treats, vanilla cookies, mints, lifesavers, etc.

I am curious about these, anybody tried one? how low or high in the pizza hierarchy do they rank?

There was a test of one of these in a tv show. They said it tastes like frozen pizza.

I actually thought you were posting one of these vending machines in Japan that sell "female student" panties and piss.. do they really exist? :uhoh:

they probably do... but they're not on every street corner where you can buy them like a Coke.

The ramen shops and stuff have vending machines inside the stores where you feed them money and get meal tickets for each of the dishes and drinks you want to order - I like that idea, it's an automated cashier and keeps everybody in the kitchen, working on the food. Once this idea is better understood, it will take over more than just ramen restaurants, all over the world.

^ I actually like to order from a person. If there is a question or a special wish it gets a little complicated with the machine, I guess.

Does this qualify as a vending machine?

Tesco "supermarket" at a Korean subway. You just scan the products and they deliver it to your home.

that is a fucking genius idea too. I think I'd already moved by the time they started that, that or I never rode the subway in Seoul so I never got to see it, but that is genius as hell, I was really really impressed when I heard about that. Everybody in Korea has a smartphone.

I've never bought booze from a vending machine. I think I'll have to try it out when I'm in Tokyo in August.

I don't see any beer vending machines around like they used to have, 10 years ago. Maybe in really cheap business hotels or something, but out on the streets - none. Plenty of cigarette machines, but you need to have an age verification card.

    Sigh.

I guess I'll have to settle for some used panties and an unadon.

I've seen this same technology at a gas station in West Virginia.

Sounds like Sheetz. Order your food outside at the gas pump, get receipt; pay at register; trade stamped receipt for food with cook, who got your order before you finished pumping your gas.

No offense, but this looks exactly like any vending machine I've seen in the last 5 years. Do you live in the woods or something?

+1, any state rest area has something like that. I used to enjoy going to take standardized tests like SATs or going to competitions as a guest at other schools when I was a kid only because it meant a quiet weekend day with a twenty and a vending machine, and a break from my vegetarian health food parents :fu: I am a secret fatty, I think.

^ lol. That's cute. This is standard fare at my place of employment: [IMG] If this was a working factory, they would be out of business by now
