velvet/formal/slippers

guys i was in a club and i saw this guy wearing what looked like fancy luxury house slippers in the black velvet. however his were a propper shoe and had a higher tongue- ie they didnt look like slippers.

does anyone know what i mean. is there a term for this type of formal shoe, and what makes do them

They are called Albert slippers and all the better British makers offer them.
