Velvet blazer: blue or black?

Hello, I would like to buy a velvet blazer and found one interesting on-line that comes in both
dark blue and black colours.
Which one would you suggest me? I would wear it in a casual way, with a shirt, no tie and
a pair of jeans or Prince of Wales pants.

Thanks for your advices,
Carmine

Dark blue, personally. Though black wouldn't be all bad either.

Up to you but if you choose dark blue make sure it does not clash with the jeans you want to wear it with.

I'd lean towards dark blue, but would have to see the color to make a final decision.

I'm of the mind that a warm brown (not too chocolate) makes for a good velvet jacket to wear casually. The colour seems to work better with the appearance of the velvet than blue or black in that context.

I`d definitely buy the darb blue suit. If you want, you can still pair the jaclet with some odd trousers, but personally I like the idea of a whole velvet suit much more.

That's the color I wear when lounging about the city. I'd choose the dark blue over the black. Black velvet almost seems like an oxymoron when it comes to a sportcoat.

no question a blue one, a blue velvet blazer it way more stylish and fun. Pair a dark blue velvet blazer with a light blue sweater.
