Haven't explored much of the local sartorial platter since moving to LV. Does anyone have any recommendations? Not looking for brands like Kiton and Greene, but shops that offer more modest wares still far superior to department stores. Thoughts?

Shops stretching across the Venetian into the Palazzo are great - Barney's NY, Ralph Lauren, a few others. Also Fashion Show mall has decent offerings at Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman, etc. Caesar's Forum Shops are a bit more hit or miss, but a fun atmosphere.

I know of all those, I am hoping for a true mens shop, haberdashery et cetera.

Hey, it's not 1958 anymore! Shops like that have become extremely rare, in case you hadn't noticed.

Extremely rare? Hardly. I haven't been to a major metro area that hasn't had at least 2.

Las Vegas proper is not a "major metro area" - especially since the recession.

I didn't say Las Vegas was a major metro area. Regardless, if it can sustain all of the designers that it does, it can sustain a mens shoppe.
