Thank you for the advice distinctive.

However I think at this time I'd prefer to get something for a store rather online.

I haven't owned many dress shoes and feel it would be best to get something I can try on first to gauge how they look and to make sure they fit properly.

If you have any suggestions of something I may be able to pick up in a store I'm all ears.

Thanks,

I wore a very similar set up to what you were thinking. I didn't entirely care how my Vegas dress fit into my whole wardrobe. I just got some cheap club clothes. PURE is nice but I would recommend Club XS at the Encore.

Head to the nearest Bloomingdales or Saks 5th and just go through the entire Santoni, EG, Ferragamo lines until you find something that catches your eye. What part of the US do you happen to live in?

I've been to about six or seven diff clubs in Vegas including Pure, Body English, Tao, etc..

One thing is for certain: unless you plan on spending the whole time behind a rope in a VIP area blowing $1000 per bottle, your shoes will get f*#$ed up in Vegas clubs, not to mention the streets.

Despite all the hype, the people you see there are trashy and sloppy, not to mention piss drunk since 7am

Keep your money in your wallet and if you buy a nice pair of shoes, then DON'T take em to Vegas.

So I shouldn't wear dress shoes? OR should I just not wear a nice pair?

Thanks,

There's probably a middle ground here. I certainly wouldn't recommend fine calf or suede shoes. But the RM Williams Comfort Craftsman in Yearling leather would be suitable. It will stand up to all kinds of spills (wax them first), and the composite sole is perfectly capable of standing on broken glass, etc.

Well,i have lived in Vegas all my life and i have to say,the ****** dressers you see are probably from California because 95% of the people you see in casinos and clubs are from out of town with 80% of them from Cali. Not saying Vegas people are fashion elitists but they are no better or worse then your typical west coast D-bags.

That being said, and being some one that goes clubbing a lot,i have to say,i dont think shoes matters much at a club. First they will get stepped on,second its really too dark to see clearly in the club, third the clubbs are too packed (if you go to the good ones they should be too packed) for anybody to see your foot wear.

The shirt, i agree has to go. Shoes, something nice that you dont mind getting stepped on. I think anything that looks decent around 100 bucks should be enough.

Vegas dress codes are collard shirts (polo will work if that's your thing), no tennis shoes, work boots or open toed anything allowed. Baggy jeans will be ok if you look good with them,is a friend of the bouncer,or if you give the bouncer a couple of bucks. A lot of clubs will allow t-shirts on week days in summer. If your going on Thursday,im 95% sure a t shirt will work (i got in to pure on Tuesday with a t-shirt).

Final advice, pure sucks on Thursday, go to Trist or Tao (i would also recommend XS at Encore, its hands down the hottest club in town right now, they are open Friday-Monday,they are closed on Thursday unfortunately .)

Happy hunting

+1 on XS. just remember the line will be insanely long, and you wont get in after 12 unless you work something out/roll with some girls.

im going out for magic/project tradeshow, and ive typically been wearing a black slim suit with white shirt and skinny black tie. i kinda want to mix it up, since ive worn the same kit 2x this summer.

any suggestions on stuff to rock? if im not in a suit im typically wearing nice leather "smooove" dress sneaks, skinny dark denim and a nice button down.

I did well with dark denim, striped button downs, couple of Italian sport coats, a dark Canali suit, 2 Rzst thermals, 2 pair of Italian shoes and loads of SWAGGER (not the cologne). I pulled Vegas 9's & 10's for all 5 days and pull 2 strippers from different clubs came back to room with me. Yeah I love Vegas!!! Number one club I recommend is Tryst @ the Wynn get the only caveat is to get VIP. Vegas top talent is there and for a few drinks can be in your room.
