I am planning to go to eastern europe this summer and Hungary as well. I'd like to visit a vass shop in Hungary and are there only one shop in Budapest? Also, do they sell casual shoes as well?? If anyone knows, please help me.
Thankx!

Off Vaci Utka, the main shopping street.
Very small shop considering the renown of Vass.

Had a bit of a letdown experience with their shop this week....
I had really looked forward to their shoes, especially buying from their own shop, and while the variety of models there was good, the shop really didn't have much sizes readily available. Seemed as if they had 1 or 2 sizes per size ready.
I wonder how much business they are losing as during the 10 minutes I spent browsing I wasn't the only one who left the shop empty handed because no sizes were available.
Nothing wrong with the shoes though, they're beautiful, but my money's going elsewhere.

Perhaps most people do the MTO as we do for mail-orders?
Is there a significant price difference vs stock shoes?

Go to Vienna. You'll have many more choices.
Try Balint in Vienna at the Vass price point for RTW, more or less.
Their service was excellent.

Well, if you are in Vienna then why not look at the Vass selection in the Abbas store?

That would stink going all the way to Budapest and not having all the sizes available.
I've been trying to get one of their chukkas in a 43.5 for a long time but can't. Called the shop
and they didn't have it!! So...MTM??
