My folks are gonna be in Vienna and Prague end of this summer and I was wondering if anyone knew of a Vass retailer in those cities for me to get my grubby feet into a pair of U-last brogues? Unfortunately Budapest isnt on their itinerary, even tho it's relatively close.

Bengal, that is perfect thanks! They will be mostly in Vienna so that will work out nicely for my feet and wallet.

Well boys, there's the answer to your Vass price-gouging worries.

Just get your orders in to Jason and let him back up the wagon.

If you're in Vienna, also check out Georg Materna, who does more MTM than anything else but has some stock models as well. I'd love to read a first hand comparison/contrast between Vass, Ludwig Reiter, and Materna.

Materna can confidently be called bespoke.
Schuhmann is your adress in Vienna for Vass and some other "famous" brands.
If you like the style of Vass, you also should visit www.balint.at and www.maftei.at. From the second i know, he has a wide range of RTW in stock.

LR i would rate B, if A is best.

What's the scoop on Vass in Prague? More or less $ than elsewhere?

Does anyone know if Ulast shoes are readily available at any of these retailers or is that a "special order" shoe? I've kinda gotten the feeling that U Last shoes arent as easy to get RTW as their other lasts(?)
