me think they talk about inseaming down by hand,
not everything done by hand.
Look,
"All components of the shoe are drawn, sewn and pinned together with a single welt that isasymmetrically reflanged profile of the slab, a long and difficult process thatcan only be done by hand".
That likely mean machine stitch sole.
Inseaming need be done by hand,
not sole.
Most important part of shoe will be done by hand.
lt look like very good value.

oops, this slipped through.

if you can nail the fit, which is all that matters, it's worth a try, imo.

btw, i don't have this academic approach to the making process than SoS have.

I was very lucky!

I don't know if it's a comfort to you, but if the fit did not work I would have been sending them over to you!

How are the Florsheim pebblegrain wingtips from ages ago working for you? :)

SOS- what is gemming slip? Is Gemming even if done the right way essentially bad for the shoe?

This is going to be my second order 6 months down the line...for the guys that own the Alt wien which color oxblood or antique Cognac sparkles? Probably dumb question,,,but please bear with me....

Opinions please feel free to educate me...

Nothing wrong with oxblood, which they do very well, but the antik cognac is a nice brown. I have that in the Norweger and like very much.
