    1. U-cap in golden museum calf, assuming that Vass finds a suitable replacement for Ilcea.

    Golden museum calf sample.

Could be an Adelaide balmoral (F-last, I think).

    Could be a derby (F-last).

    2. 3-eye derby in golden museum calf (U-last).

    3. Mixed leather boot.

I'm thinking something Galway-esque in oxblood and black scotchgrain. Cap toe. F-last. Double leather sole.

absolutely...their standard tends to be 2/3 eyelets and the rest hooks but it is no problem to do any configuration you like...

I have no money + I have plenty of footwear + my last purchase was a shell cordovan boot = I want a pair of NSTs like stmaier's (a shade lighter is fine too)

Vass, so powerful it defies mathematical logic

I'd be down for the Galway-esque boot or a variant of stmaier's... but would prefer a cap toe instead of NST!

A Galway style boot sounds great.

+1, if there are no wides or extra wides available this is a non-starter for me.

Man! You guys are already throwing out some KILLER ideas.

I don't have a lot to add, at the moment, but just wanted to post in here and let you guys know that I'm here to help. Feel free to drop me a line either through PM or through email (matt[at]epauletnewyork.com).

I think there's a huge potential here to do some incredible projects and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes to fruition!

Museum calf on bottom, scotchgrain on top.

Yes, the can do a single step wide fitting (like a US "E" or Carmina "EEE") on, I believe, all of their lasts. If not all then most of them.

Sure, we'll be able to do any mixture of eyes and hooks.

Some of you guys may know this already, but Ilcea - the tannery who made museum calf - just filed for bankruptcy, so they're out of the game at least for the moment. I had some stock styles on order in that, so Vass is trying to find a new source for a similar leather. It will probably take a bit, but there are other places to do it. But that might put us out to early Spring '14 for a makeup style in something like this.

Lemme show you guys three things that stood out for us...

This is an awesome Austerity Brogue Blucher. It had a really nice balance of heft and simplicity. This could be a brilliant shape to do.

Also in the Austerity Blucher world, here's a high boot in a similar pattern. It was killer in person! Kind of a blucher version of the "Greeley" that we've done with Carmina.

Before I decided to move to Santa Monica, where it basically never rains, I got fed up with never having a proper pair of foul-weather shoes. So these were my first personal MTO with Vass. They're Alt Wiens on the 3636 last in scotchgrain with a goyser stitch and Vibram commando sole. Ready to take whatever the hell you throw at them.
