No Purchase Club
We haven’t seen one of these threads in while – a no purchase club for the month of October. It involves a group of people banding together, sealed by an internet promise (and occasionally a commitment to donate to charity of there’s a failure to abide by the terms) promising to avoid buying expensive clothing for a month. Sure you could argue that the idea of not purchasing clothing is antithetical to the foundational concept behind StyleForum, but what of it?
A Solid Winter Coat
It’s still warm in most of the United States, but winter is fast approaching (you could even say… winter is coming, hur hur hur) and it’s time to start thinking about what kind of jacket you want to be rocking when the thermometer plummets. Do you already have an awesome double-layer alpaca lined jacket from Stephan Schneider? Or do you want something with down and lots of Gore-Tex?

What do you think of eCigarettes? A reasonable alternative to actually smoking? Does it make you look like a tool, or is it a chance for small, local tobacco distillers (is that the word?) to complete and destroy big tobacco.
