1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Also note the creasing on the X150 and Z150 are from me molesting the samples. They come smooth.

Comp weight comes looking like that.

    Good question... v[IMG]v

It's a difficult decision. I am not too fond the Firenze but other three leathers are all very good in their own way.

X150 for example is the least impressive in swatch form but might make for an excellent jacket.

Competition weight is very characteristic and it's hard to tell how thick it really will be when actually worn.

Z150 is ljust plain nice, but doesn't have the toughness of the other two.

Alternatively, there's the black horsehide that Thurston offers at an upcharge, which is very high end but isn't drum-dyed, so it will scuff/patina to that brown-ish color which changes the aesthetic dramatically.

Good thing we all have another month to decide.

Just to clarify are all the leathers the thickness of a dollar coin? I would expect firenze to have been thinner, more like a quarter/dime...
I have been decided on the comp weight based on a pic a few pages back but now I'm considering Z150. X150 i simply did not handle.

I am going to go with a dark blue comp weight leather, in all likelihood. I know that you all care.

It's doing well. I like the color. I was going to go with something else and then realized, why mess around with colors I'll probably like less.

My entire wardrobe is based around greys and blues. Even crazily patterned stuff like my White Mountaineering and Visvim kicks have a blue base.
