You'll see, but not exactly like that. One of the Junya versions had it, and it looked awesome.

My Junya x Vanson moto has side adjusters that look pretty good

Any chance we could get fit pics with Batman-style nipples pasted on? :embar: :satisfied:

Based on the rider that I wore (C2) it would definitely need to be 2, maybe 3" longer to fit in with the kind of trousers most of us wear.

question for Thurston bros: is there a stockist in Tokyo that carries your Japan slim/super slim cuts? I'm really intrigued by Fok's impressions and I'd like to see how it fits on my frame

Here is the Junya x Vanson with side adjustors visible

Ask your Tokyo stockist for the following models--

VAJ-3
Daytona
Tight Fit Model B
Tight Fit Model C

I hope this helps...

Are there any particular shops in Tokyo that you do business with? I get the impression that some places order from you frequently.

Edit:

Here is the VAJ-3

I would make the arms slimmer, the shoulders less square, and the armholes slightly higher. Length and fit through the body are a-ok, but double riders tend to be a little shorter, don't they? Wouldn't want to go much (if at all) shorter than that. The model is like 175cm too, so he's on the shorter side.

FWIW, Vanson sells to Japan and these mid-slimfit jackets are Vanson's designs, not Insurrection and Thurston Bros...Insurrection / Thurston Bros. are retailers...however, I do like the fit of the mid-slimfit styles...here's the Daytona, which is a nice style as well (but..........., I'm not sure about the stripes on the arms)...

Both of the jackets look great, i'd slim them in the midsection, increase the length, change zip pulls and remove embroideries or stripes. The you have great looking moto.

I'll post a fit, but that dude is wearing a good size. Imagine the same jacket on a guy 2-3" taller and 25 lbs bigger, and you're have me.

I liked the Coin Pocket :(
I'm 5'7 and 145lbs with broader shoulders, usually a 36/46 in #menswear but I woul probably be a 37 if such a size existed. The jacket above (VAJ-3) should fit me.

That's probably true. I am between a 48 and 50 eu, and could take a full size up on this, in all ways.

Does anyone know what zippers saint laurent uses (or are they custom)? I really like the "fatness" of them, I think they are a bit wider than normal YKK zips and definitely wider than the zips Rick uses.

To me, the med.-slimfit is probably going to be the best...there's a paradox with leather jackets...by going super slim, you can "sausage" customers out, making them look bigger than they are. This doesn't happen with the Junya jackets shown in this thread only because the models are super thin, thinner than 95% of Style Forum members. However, if we want to make a good jacket for an average slim type, the med.-slimfit (shown below) is probably going to be best.

This confirms what previous customers have said--that the full-slimfit designs are too tight and don't fit many. Also, what Japan has said--that the med.-slimfit is the fit that they like...

To my understanding, the Vanson Derby is an available in med.-slimfit design...we just need to do a tight fit of this model...much like the Tight Fit Model C...

I might actually prefer the standard design (belt + coin pocket) in the updated fit. Fok, are you considering single side adjusters as shown above, or the double adjusters that TOJ uses?
