Thanks for the info. That makes sense wrt leather quality. I don't ride and I wouldn't mind a lighter leather strictly speaking, but if the quality isn't as high then that kind of defeats the purpose. Hopefully we can find the right balance. The C2 size 34 was actually slightly too snug around the waist, but the shoulders, upper back and arms were roomy. I think what you may consider "super slim" is fairly standard for me since I've got a really wiry frame. Here's the Junya x Vanson being worn for his show. I'm probably right about the same body type as this model. Is this getting into dangerous territory in terms of leather quality? [IMG]

Junya used a standard, high quality, leather. If he can, we can.

With both Vanson and Aero, what you ran into with the waist being a bit too tight and the shoulders being big is quite typical. What we do to fix that is size down, but make the waist and abdomen bigger....that way we can get a straighter, slimmer fit in both brands (I've attached a photo of an Aero J107 below that we did this to). You can see that has been done in the Junya photo above...the upper arms and upper back are slimmed down too...

Your photo showed Vanson's Z150 leather (below)...it's a good compromise because it's high quality (not too thin), while still being good for a nice fit..

yes! It's the time to get that double rider I never imagined I could pull out. Now that I'm hitting my late thirties, I don't give a damn :slayer:

I am 39. You've been around here pretty long as well. I was 27 when we first started this joint.

Cool guys, is the back of the leather jacket going to be one piece?

Do you mean without a kidney panel?

We'll see. Some jackets, like my Aero, look fine without one. Some jackets can look unbalanced. I need to look at this in person first.

    kidney panel can work
one of the 2 below options for the back looks good imo if its one piece

what i think should be avoided is the 2 piece back like below, notice the seam going down the back, thats what i am talking about

The black and blue jackets there appear to have the same back construction. What am I missing?
