I recall once seeing a vanity plate on Mercedes CLK 430 that said, "HIM8NTZ"

I don't get this one either.

My key man policy restricts me from having vanity plates. The insurer (a Berkshire Hathaway company) feels accidents happen with high profile activities like vanity plates. Not sure that I would have vanity plate anyway but I find this highly ironic as Warren Buffet sports vanity plates on his (used) Lincoln Town Car that pronounce "Thrifty." His daughter gave him the plates apparently for a Dad that had everything.

No I haven't tried the Buffett angle with my insurer. I hope they forget about me and stop raising my rates. My pilots and license and scuba certification give them fits.

    Is your insurer Geico?

    Jon.

There there's always the VW Bug with "FEATURE".

I really don't like the witless plates, like those that just repeat the brand or model of the car: "FASTBMW", "MY M3", etc.

    "High maintenance"?

As long as people are in a giving mood..I still don't understand this one either: as posted by Arethusa: "A6MTYPE0 on a Mitsubishi."

Is the driver busting on Audi? A typist? Hmmm, the end could be penile "p-e-nil" EDIT; no, it would have to be penal.

Sure; a bit of a pun. Car-isma. I wouldn't choose it for my plates. Plus I drive a honda so, you know.

I thought it seemed pretty obvious to me when I first saw the plates. The driver was some young blonde gal.

No [IMG] I (we) are covered by a reinsurance division of Berkshire Hathaway. We self insure up to a point and then cap it with a custom product. Geico is only a small insurance division of Berkshire Hathaway. GEICO might have the most policies but others have larger coverages. I (we) need the coverage for estate tax purposes otherwise the IRA would force the liquidation of the portfolio for my carry to pay the death tax.

Oh, that is clever. Maybe a bit overblown for an SUV, but clever.
