What do people think about the label Vanishing Elephant? I own a pair of the desert boots and pretty happy with the construction and quality - and the pricepoint isn't too bad. Thought I might start a discussion since I've seen it stocked in places like Blackbird and Need Supply.

I have a pair of the brown Felix derbies and they're a really cool color. A lot of their shoes look pretty cool imo. Only time I've seen much of their clothing was when it was on gilt.

Interested in the brand's style, but the relatively high price point (new, anyways) has kept me away. I was thinking bout a pair of shoes at one point, but the leather looks really waxy and plastic-y in the online pics.. big turnoff. Would be interested to hear about the state of the brand and people's experiences.

the leather isn't that waxy at all in person. I've had my desert boots for about a year now, worn them fairly regularly and they've held up pretty well - will probably need a resole soon though.

Spent like $500 in March for a pair of the miltary style ankle boots from Violent Green. Looks nice but not worth retail.

I'm really liking what they are putting out. The only downside is I can't find any leather desert boots or Holdsworth shoes from them ANYWHERE!

Just saw the A/W 11 pieces, the chinaman band collar and black floral shorts were the only standouts to me.

Old thread yes but I'm reviving it. I have a pair of their desert boots in suede and they've held up pretty damn good. How come there isn't much buzz about them?

Australian? Probably doesn't reach a far enough audience.

Never bought their footwear but I love their other stuff, it comprises a good part of my wardrobe.
