Debating between the red or brown shantung. Would be worn with a classic navy sportcoat in the spring and summer. I already have a brown grenadine so leaning towards the red but afraid the color might be too corporate. And I know red ties are looked down upon here. Is this a different shade of red?

Would love to see some in the wild pictures if possible.

I have wanted to pick up a Vanda tie for quite sometime. I was struck by the oatmeal glenplaid. My engagement party is scheduled for the summer, and I was looking for a glenplaid to wear with the mid-navy fresco suit that I just purchased. I am envisioning an informal wedding suit, which reminds me of an old apparel arts picture I am currently unable to locate.

White shirt, navy suit seems like an ideal way to wear that tie. Looking forward to pics!

I'll try to take some pictures later today.

Thanks for your order, @Newcomer. I enjoyed reading your experience with Despos and I hope our Oatmeal Glenplaid will serve you well.

I am certain that it will! I have wanted to purchase one of your ties for quite sometime - ties are typically low on my priority list. Very excited about the oatmeal glen plaid. I have had, on various occasions, about two dozen of your ties in my cart. I particularly like your striped repps.

Here's the Sangria Shantung worn. It's a pretty deep shade of burgundy. Sorry I don't have a ready piece of Solid Chocolate shantung on hand for a picture.

Ha! The brown/blue is one of my favorites. The navy-yellow and green-white are fantastic as well.

Post fit pics if you get the brown/blue. It's one of those where I'm sure it would look good, it just doesn't quite do it for me just yet. Navy/yellow is amazing. I actually got it at 3.75" and MAY wind up having one made up in the 3.5" standard. The green/white is also excellent. Absolutely one of my favorite ties.

The navy/red is sneaky good, too. So, long story short, Vanda repps are the bees knees.:fistbump:

Hi Gents + Gerald - been debating a few spring summer lightweight purchases. The oatmeal glen plaid is in my cart - still debating another - the blue-yellow striped shantung, the blue striped raw silk, or perhaps one a linen-silk, such as the light blue "chambray." I prefer summer ties to skew more casual as I frequently go without a jacket during the dog days of summer. Thanks for any suggestions!
