I had a scarf made a few years ago and it’s beautiful!! I haven’t seen many posted (I’m guilty as well), but the quality and attention to detail is AMAZING! I usually wear mine as kind of a neckerchief … under a button down or sweater. I highly recommend them. A belated thanks @gshen !

X-Post from WAYWT…

Thought I might throw my hat in the ring for the Friday challenge… we'll see :)

Looking to buy a summer tie for a wedding but can’t deicde between which one.

I’ve been checking out the Oat Matka, Artichoke Matka, or tan fancy weave. I’m debating pairing this with a medium gray suit with either a white/ blue shirt.

Is the artichoke very olive in person or seem a bit more grayish?
Does the tan fancy weave pair better with a darker color suit vs a lighter one?

Here's a picture comparing the three fabrics:

I'd suggest either of the matka ties since it looks like you want something summery/casual - probably Oat with your grey suit.

After extensive multivariate testing across all necktie properties, I have come to the irrefutable conclusion that the hopsack ties are the best ties. You may like this post as payment for my tireless commitment to the truth.

Hi Gerald, what does the Oat Matka look like next to the Tan Fancy Weave? Are the shades similar?

Would you also be able to show what the Burgundy Grenadine Grossa Weave looks like next to the Piccola Weave?

Isn’t that exactly the point of the photo that @gshen posted above?

Sorry wait the one on the right was tan fancy weave? It looked lighter on the website, similar to Oat Matka. But next to the Oat Matka it looks purplish grey. I didn't pay much attention to the description because it looked different from what I expected.
