I know that HK Chan is universally praised for value bespoke. Among the various practicing English tailors, in and outside Savile Row, who is most like Chan in terms of providing decent quality for the fair? Thanks.

Chan commands a good value because labor cost is a lot cheaper from where he is, and also because fabrics are cheaper to source in Hong Kong. If anyone in the UK could offer the same price as Chan's I assume the quality won't be the same.

There's a bloke called George up in North London (Harringay i think?). He used to be Saville Row and moved out. He does the jackets, his wife does teh trousers and his mum does the stitching. It's an absolutely brilliant shop, George is lovely and the suit he made me is one of my best. Considering I knew nothing about suits and went in muttering about mohair and working cuffs what I got is amazing. And all for £500.

Genuinely great experience. Unlike the last bloke I went to in Manchester who sold me a turkey at twice the price. Sour.
