Valentino Suit - opinions & thoughts please

I was at Loehmanns and I found two Valentino suits. Usually I would steer clear, but they where from their 'tailoring line', whatever the hell that means (it was on the label). what was clear was that is definitely of better quality from their other stuff. It has a working lapel and was of nicer finish than the other valentino roma suits there. The price was still pretty steep for Loehamanns ($800), but it was navy cashmere in my size. what are your opinions? does anyone know who really makes it? thoughts advice please...

Thanks,

R

I dont know the maker but i think the Valentino mainline suits are the ones infamous for being made in Egypt, the italians sent their people to an egypt factory to show them how to make highquality suits. I'm sure they're good though, i havent seen any valentino mainline , only Valentino Roma and i think the Roma suits are actually pretty good for diffusion-line suits, so the mainline should be even better (hopefully!) =)

'Tailoring Line' is Made in Italy and is usually hand sewn. They usually start at 2500 USD retail. I'd say buy it.

i dunno about valentino....did you see the ad pages in the new mens vogue magazine? the valentino suit shown in there didn't look too sharp to me, just my opinion.

I've checked it out, it's well made.
