Uses for the remainder from the jeans hem?

I bought a pair of $200 jeans. Because I have short, stubby legs, the store cut 7 inches off each jean leg when they hemmed them.

The store gave these two 7 inch pieces of premium denim back to me in a little plastic bag. What do I do with them?

I could just hold on to them, washing them each time I wash my jeans so that I will have a ready supply of matching denim for repairs.

I could stitch up one end and make a cute denim selvedge cap.

I could make an outrÃ

beanie baby.

I could make a street wear watchstrap for my Rolex.

I could try to sell them on e-bay.

I could just throw them away

What would you do?

Denim wrist/head band?

Denim condoms?

Frame them as modern art?

Use them as trim on another pair of jeans in a different shade?

Small denim pouch for quarters for laundry or parking meters?

Make a denim toiletry bag?

Ninja mask?

denim facemask. denim eyepatch if you're a denim pirate. denim tool holder (i've seen these) in the sda store they had a big denim chart explaining the fits and weights of their models- they had mini denim jeans made out of scraps (complete with pockets and stitching!) to show how they were cut. like this:

you could make some denim fangs. (blinging diamonds on your teeth is passe, denim fronts are for true fashionistas!)

The denim tote on the 45RPM site is nice. With your 14" remainders, you might be able to make a small possibles/medicine bag to hang around your neck or belt, maybe fashion a bandana???

I'd cover a journal with it.

As we all know, cheapmutha covered a WalMart slip-on with selvage denim.

I'd write my lady a poem on the back of the remainder. I wanna sex you up, over and over and over.

Actually a pretty usable wallet could be made.. gear shift cover.. selvage wrist band or bowling brace.. soccer shinguards.. codpiece.. bikini (for a girl, hopefully).. the possibilities are endless.

I save them for future patchwork. And occasional fondling. A hanging trophy collection is an idea. Or made into a necklace like those of ears.

45rpm says: "We sometimes have interesting requests from customers. A customer, who loves playing golf, has ordered putter cover out of our denim fabric."

or yes save it for cool patches. premium patches, for your premium denim.
