Right now, I am living near US-Canada border in Surrey, British Colombia Canada and just out of a job, and looking to have an extended visit to the northern US. I will enter the US through Washington, then to Montana, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington and back to Surrey. My motorcycle is 'Motopeds Mountain Bike' with parts taken from Honda XR-850.
I customized the motorcycle for maximum longer travel. I have a tent and will stay in motels along the way(if it is too cold or windy). My maternal grand served in WWII, Korean conflict(got injured and lost one leg). After that, he was assigned clerk work on a base(http://militarybases.co/directory/watervliet-arsenal-army-base-in-watervliet-ny/).He told multiple stories that they were having fun with along with friends. I want to visit the base personally and just have a lighter look inside. But I can't find a way how? I have emailed many officials, some watervliet authorities. But haven't received any response. I have posted on multiple other forums (but no luck). This forum is full of motor people, who have hit the road in real time. So, I suppose, I can get good answers from you guys. If I'm able to get inside, I will be able to give nice gift to my grandy on his 95th hatch day.
