I came across a pair of boots. The insole is written as "by Edward green". Is it really EG?

Thanks

Does its web site give you any clues or haven't you looked?

You seem to want others to decide for you which isn't a good basis to waste money: you really have to do this yourself.

If you have bought them, just wear and enjoy as best you can, if not just move on, life is too short for fretting about a pair of someone's reject boots.

I think that the word "by" in this case means "designed by", like some pairs sold by Paul Stuart in the past clearly not made by EG.

Anyway to me these don't look like EG shoes, judging lining and leather quality, not considering inside stamps, these are also pretty old, probably from the 80's.

Interesting that the makers went to the trouble of getting the nail pattern right (clusters of three). That would have been strong enough for me. But, armed with Chowkin's caselaw, I can now see that the rubber quarters are too large.
