Oh so how should I choose a nice suit then? Was thinking sm or Susu for my daily and then some fancy Italian (e Zegna etc..) for special occasions, but I don't know what's good value around the 2k price point
What do you mean by the term fancy? Or is it the fancy label you are referring to! Not going to add more as the gents have covered most of it but if you like the labels that you are referring to them just stick with them as 2k is tons of funds to get you a very nice fitting suit made my some names mentioned with well known Italian and British mills.

This is styleforum the crowd here leans more towards fit than a brand name garment as made to measure is in most cases results in better fitting suit than off the rack.

And for many of us the entire process from selecting the garment, styling the suit and visiting the tailor for basted fitting/ suit fitting alterations is on its own a more satisfying process than grabbing a suit off the rack.
