1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Can you take a picture outside Family Britches? I like the name.

So when are you coming to Paris? You could sign at Smeese (WH Smith), Galignani, Brentano's and the Village Voice... and at Le Pantalon de la Famille... Hildeetch... Dunheel... Arnees...

Hey, I used to study and drink coffee at the Starbuck's across the street. Maybe you can exchange books with Bill Clinton while he gets his Venti mocha

Is this related to aportnoy's naming his shoe "The Lewinsky"?

Come to Boston already. Have a signing at Gary's or something (I can actually eke out time between research and writing job applications and dealing with reviewers comments to go). It would be fun. You know you want to.

"Please come to Boston," he said no.

Manton in Richmond? After recovering from my initial astonishment - I knew that I definitely would be taking advantage of the opportunity to support the cause.

Just returned from Beecroft & Bull where I had the pleasure of meeting the man himself. Had my copy of The Suit inscribed - and passed a very pleasurable hour or so chatting about matters sartorial.

It will not surprise regular readers of this board that manton (1) could not have been more gracious with his time and sharing his expertise and (2) was splendidly turned out in a charcoal grey worsted double window pane Shattuck DB that fit better than anything else my untutored eye has ever seen (though a medwards sighting at Sky Valet came close).

Thanks to manton for stopping by.
