I thought it was pretty good. Still a bit Hollywoody, but less so than most. Clooney was his usualy charming self. Problem was, that except for one forced twist, it essentially used the Hollywood romcom script to a tee.

However, I related to the main character a lot and so it did leave me thinking more than most films, which is always a plus.

I went to see this mainly because a lot of it was filmed in St. Louis where I live. I used to live in the apartment building georges character lived in called Mansion House.

Liked everything about the movie except for airport security-friendly shoes

+1 Loved the film and I think I am developing a crush on Vera Farmiga. I am recommending Up in the Air to friends.

I actually saw it with my dad, who lived that same life of traveling 300 days for 12 years. He would comment on everything Clooney did. He has the same Amex black car, almost 5 million miles, and He'd been in every single city shown in the movie and could even recognize some of the hotels.

this is a bit harsh and while i enjoyed it, i do agree and predicted just about every major plot turn and didn't think it was any deeper or more profound than about schmidt. i still enjoyed it a great deal.

it also confirms everyone's preconceived notions of flyover states.

Good flick. Lil too much squinty smiley Clooney.

I do NOT like Vera Farmiga. I don't like her breathy rushed speech or Joey Tribiani "acting" expressions. Bad in the Departed. Bad here.
