Hello, I am wondering what are actually the benefits of unsanforized denim over sanforized denim. So far, I only found unsanforized denim to be problematic when choosing size, post wear stretching factor etc.

Unsanforized is supposed to be for the purist, why? is it going to look better with wear? what´s the difference?

Raw denim allows the end user to “sanforize“ the denim as opposed to having it done at the mill. I have raw, sanforized and one-washed denim. I like them all for different reasons. A little bit of a learning curve when buying raw denim, but not as much as you think. Just measure your favorite fitting jeans and go from there. This are my latest favorite, PBJ 14.5oz. Bright Blue Raw.

Jeans that fit properly are always gonna look good! My only advice would be to learn your sizing. Buy jeans that fit your shape properly. Then you won‘t mind dropping $200+ on a pair.

I’m too old for raw (or I only wear jeans on weekend, so raw would take a while...)
