1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

unless I just got a weird/mis-tagged pair...the gio skinnys seem noticeably smaller than less season. The cobalt pair I just got is an inch smaller in the waist (as well as smaller in the thigh) than the pair I have from fall/winter.

What's the tagged size vs actual measured size? Both my pairs are 1 inch over the tagged size.

?? that's not the point I'm making. I'm saying own multiple pairs of the skinny (all size 30) from different seasons (or well, the two oldest pairs I have are the gio regular, but back then the gio = the current gio skinny and there was no straight fit gio) all of which fit pretty much the same except for the 30 from this current season, which definitely fits smaller in the top block.

This seasons models are noticeably smaller in the top block for both the Gio & Gio Skinny. Size up may be necessary.

I know what you're saying. I'm asking because I'm planning on getting the same pair and the info would be helpful.

He's asking if he should hem with or without a cuff... it's really a preference thing.

they have a very very faint blue hue. Depending on the light they'll seem more or less white. I love them, great pair of pants for summer!

It's your call. I like cuffs, so I do cuffs. The fabric is heavy enough that they drape fine without.

I kopped a pair of the Unis' Chinos due to SF recommendation but, at $200, I don't see anything to recommend them over Epaulet at $135.

Material and construction is not as good IMO. Especially disappointing there is no easy way to adjust the waistband.

Can anyone explain why Gios are superior?

I don't have experience with Epaulets, but I here people say that the Gios have the best fit.

Easy way to adjust the waistband? It's no easier or harder than on a pair from Epaulet---just take it to your tailor. The goodness of fit is entirely personal preference. I have trousers from Unis, Epaulet, and Howard Yount. I'm not sure there's anything to recommend any of them over the others besides your personal preference for fit, fabrics, and details.
