Two pairs of Venezuelan loafers in size 11. Both feature a silhouette that I love, very low-profile and sleek.

The first are made by Winston:

The second pair was made by Laura:

Any questions, feel free to ask. I'd like $70 shipped for both.

Is this some kind of joke?

They're both groovy in a 70s way. The top pair looks somewhat like a pair of vintage Ferragamo loafers that I have.

A fitting end for these shoes would be to be put on Ronaldo's (or any good striker's) foot and firmly inserted into Hugo Chavez's backside. Although, Chavez would probably find the experience enjoyable.

There's nothing particularly "third world" about these. I'm actually rather fond of them, and not for any "retro" reasons. While I realize the profile may recall the '70s, it's appealing.

So would you care to enlighten us a bit on who the makers of these fine shoes are? The age, provenance, construction, styling... since I for one am not familiar with either Winston or Laura.

They were inherited from someone well-travelled but deceased. All of my attempts to locate information on these brands have been to no avail. I am definitely curious, though. I am pretty handy with Google and was unable to come up with any information at all (even bad information).

PHP Code:
Pimp my shoes ...

Much more pimpworthy shoes may be found here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

The Cuban heel, for example, is more than slightly fey, for which any proper pimp would overcompensate by using extreme violence.

NOTE: I am the seller of these shoes.

Post-pimpingly yours,

Hate to break all of your hearts, but the lighter shoes are sold.
