Does the washing process cause the washed black to fit smaller than the other colors??

No, the fabric on all the Vintage Tees was prewashed to minimizing shrinking in dye and to get rid of torque. Additionally, any dye shrinkage was calculated and put into the patterns before they were cut and sewn.

The Washed Black tees because of the pigment dye process have a slightly dryer feel (to begin with) than the other tees in the collection that were dyed using a reactive process. This is because the pigment doesn't bond with the fabric via a chemical reaction (as it does in reactive dye, hence the name "reactive").

Can someone who has the raw hem and the John Elliott Anti-Expo tell me how they compare fit wise? I wear a M in the JE AE. Looking at the size charts for the raw hem suggests a L.

Medium Raw Hem vs. Medium Teal AE. I'd recommend getting the Medium raw hem

Raw Hem is definitely my new fav. Slightly prefer the fit over the AE. Hope this helps

Major shout out to Pat, he stays going above and beyond with the customer service. Picked up some of the new tees and he threw in a Taco Bell gift card for me LOL.
Loving the vintage tees, perfect balance between soft and heavy.

So good. It’s not as washed out as most of/if not all of my JE washed black tees, and that’s perfect for me at this point. More washed black, which is my favorite color for tees, but variety at the same time.

And for anyone considering sizing up, this is a size up in the Vintage crew. Love it. Also picked up White in a size up.
