Easier to pull off the blue/pink shirt look with shawl than with peak

I have many ebay suits, and now want to go bespoke.
I'm confused on fabrics. Bespoke tailor tells me suits cost 2k up to 12k depending on fabric. What is a good year round wool fabric that is not super expensive. There are like 3000 choices. I need some help as I am new to this. Brand? Weight? Wool number? Any wool that is more wrinkle resistent?

I recently got a suit in Drapers 5-star (navy, twill, 370g) and I love it. I don't know if its a year-rounder, it would probably be pretty hot in the peak of summer here in the Northeast, but definitely going to be my go-to for Fall through late Spring. The (minimal) wrinkles from shipping fell out of it with simply letting it hang in the closet for 2 days

I think we'd need a bit more info to make a more precise recommendation (location, frequency of use, what sort of events you'll be wearing it to, etc.). I know @Despos has noted that he thinks VBC 110s is a good fabric, and it meets a pretty good quality to cost ratio.

Drapers Ascot (as mentioned above), HFW Fresco, Smith Finmeresco, H&S Crispair, Lovat Bard would all be fabric books to check out for wrinkle resistance and suitable for a warm-ish climate

Dear @Joefitz,

Welcome to the forum. You have received pretty good advice from our fellow members until now.

Could you please ask your tailor to elaborate on 12K suits? Not only am I interested (let alone curious) to read what he/she claims, but it will give us "fuel" to discuss for some pages down the road!

Thank you in advance,

Dimitris

I'm sure Joe is looking at a diff level of bespoke tailor, but i'm always blown away when i see the prices that Simon Crompton points out on his style breakdown series....5K euro for a Liverano and Liverano jacket, 8K GBP for a Richard Anderson tux, yeeesh! It always makes me wonder how much better those items are than some fo the other more affordable bespoke/high end mtm that is discussed on this forum

Anyone have recommendations for a tobacco brown linen suiting fabric? The only ones I can find that look alright are the light brown and shergar from the Dugdale Brothers natural elements collection.

Have a look at J Hanna. They weave for many of the main merchants anyway.
