I’d have to agree with you...it does look very old man but so does most tweeds. The only tweed that I can think of that does not make you look old is purple tweed ;-)I don’t want to look like these old ass men.

Shawl DB for velvet, imo. Absolutely no ******* chance with the pants lol.I'm continuing my research into formal wear before I pull the trigger on anything, and I've been thinking a lot about navy velvet.
The question is, what to do there ...
- Notch lapel single breasted?
- Peak lapel single breasted two button? One button?
- Shawl lapel double breated?
Hmmm.
My tailor insists I should get something in velvet that I can also wear as a suit (i.e. navy velvet pants). I could pull it off in NYC but not sure I want to lol.
