Fox Sports Jacketing. the seasonal limited drop might have some. Porter and Harding Lonedin/Glenroyal/Hartwist.

Funnily enough, I think Fox just dropped a new seasonal limited flannel cloth that looks beautiful. I'm not sure if a jacket in this color could work (for my use cases at least), but I do love the pattern... If only it were in more subdued colors. Maybe I take a risk though and see how it goes.

2 business suits. Mid to heavy weight wool worsted in dark navy twill and mid grey sharkskin.

H.Lesser, Harrisons Oyster or Smiths Botany?

I’m hearing you.

Hard to tell the navy twills apart but I’ve got an Oyster mid grey sharkskin which has excellent drape. I’ve seen the navy twill from the same bunch and it looks just as good for a solid navy twill suit.

The trouble with Lesser and Smith twills, from pre-Harrisons era at least, is they look very flat (for lack of a better term) whereas Oyster has that extra bit of surface interest that makes it look for rustic (again for lack of a better term).

I'm considering having a jacket made in a charcoal herringbone or twill. I've been eying Fox, but I wanted to check if anyone would recommend another maker. This would be my first tweed - so all recommendations are welcome.

SherryTweed comes to mind, it is a bit more scratchy and faithful to the original tweed idea, but seems to have only a mid-grey herringbone.

Figured I would do an interest check - Was touching base with a cloth maker and I floated the idea of a private run of an “linen Agnelli Summer Tweed” in RAF with some molting and midnight windowpane. Something in the 9/10oz neighborhood. Thinking of shooting for a shade sort of between how this looks under artificial light and in direct sunlight.

Very much in its infancy and open to feedback on weight/shade/composition.

Maker that came to mind for me is Maison Hellard because I think they really nail the colors. I haven’t gotten a solid yes from them on whether or not it’s possible or MOQ but they are checking some things and will get back to me and seemed very open to the idea.

Yes. Would insist on samples before going into production.

Stuff like this will get you banned from the London Lounge. Alden checks this page on a regular basis......

Possibly. But not a 10 oz linen. No way. 12 minumum, 14 preferred.

If you get the below popping in a suitable weight (as @jonathanS mentioned, 14 being the ideal), I’ll sign on for your idea in whatever weight you choose.
