i just visit my tailor and ask him for stuff and he always nails it. what are you doing wrong?!
The grey jacket you had made was perfection.
Two of my three most recently completed pieces from Steed. (The most recent just arrived but is pretty much the same.) Lapels look good to me!
The second one is green and very wearable.
I find most tailors inflexible to what I want in changes, simple changes at that. Those Neapolitan tailors like to make jackets short and tight. How hard is it to make a longer jacket? I had to ask Edwin to slim things down multiple times before the changes were incorporated. I’ll stick to one tailor for the time being because I start the process over again when using a new tailor.
That's the one that just arrived. It's pretty much the same as the others. I actually like the look of the green tweed the best of the three. The grey jacket you had made was perfection.
Sometimes it takes a while for a tailor to figure you out.
oftentimes it just takes customers a while to figure out that they should choose a maker based on what they actually like without meddling with the makers style.

Crispyj got it. It's Escorial wool. I wanted a larger scale barleycorn that wasn't tweed. That turns out to be a rarity. Escorial has grey, brown, green, and I think two blues. The green would make up really nicely. Escorial is lovely stuff--light and very soft but with some visual texture.Which barleycorn is this? I have such a soft spot for barleycorn. Thanks.
