Eh. I went on to use Anderson for DB and 2-5b, and Hitchcock for SB 2b.

Anyone have good recs for winter weight cavalry twill or whipcord? I have a pair in Dugdales and it’s pretty good but want to try something else this time around. Standeven version looks promising from online pics. Any others to consider? Ideally nothing lighter than say 14oz or so.

Sometimes it takes a while for a tailor to figure you out. Except for raglan overcoats, my tailor makes me what I want these days.

I find most tailors inflexible to what I want in changes, simple changes at that. Those Neapolitan tailors like to make jackets short and tight. How hard is it to make a longer jacket? I had to ask Edwin to slim things down multiple times before the changes were incorporated. I’ll stick to one tailor for the time being because I start the process over again when using a new tailor.

To be fair: many tailors have a house cut/style that is very much their "trademark." I can understand them wanting to have their work represent their chosen style. I also know that I dislike some of those styles and wouldn't be able to appreciate their work.

Anyone have any experience with Tricotine? Really like the look of what Mark's wearing here. Thinking of ordering something when Steed visits next week.

Which barleycorn is this? I have such a soft spot for barleycorn. Thanks.

-DL
Crispyj got it. It's Escorial wool. I wanted a larger scale barleycorn that wasn't tweed. That turns out to be a rarity. Escorial has grey, brown, green, and I think two blues. The green would make up really nicely. Escorial is lovely stuff--light and very soft but with some visual texture.
