Thought I'd try here rather than starting a new thread-- I'm moving a (very nice) HK suit over from their own horn buttons, which I do not care for, to the standard SR London product. I have found suppliers in the past, but have completely forgotten who they might be.

Does anyone know of a shop in Soho that carries these? The normal 2-hole, very dark grey matte horn buttons for sleeves.
I recently got some nice matte horn buttons via Bias Bespoke in NYC, but I'm not sure that's an answer to your question.

Some hard-to-find suiting that has been discussed here in the past: 11oz gabardine and covert. This is Draper's Three Kings book.

I've used Kenton Trimmings in the past https://www.kentontrimmings.co.uk/shop/, but the shop is online only.

I just recieved spier and Mackays new solaro suit. Their version is with a newly developed solaro version from drago. The red yarns shine through and provides a proper iridiscent effect.

I have not handled solaro earlier and I was surprised with just how iridiscent the fabric is.

Those of you who own solaro suits, when and how do you wear and pair them? I Wonder if a plain gabardine suit would be much more wearable...?

Has anyone tried anything from Harrison's Indigo book? I'm concerned about the weight (8oz), but the fabrics look nice.

I have a strange question.

Harrisons lists their Smiths Mock Leno as being out of stock. They tell me they don't currently have plans to do another run. Does anyone know of a fabric merchant who may have purchased some of this cloth and sells it at cut length?

Alternatively, does anyone know of a source for brown Mock Leno? From what I can see online, Minnis only makes this weave in blue.

what about dugdales instead of harrisons if they have no plans to restock?

Thanks! I didn't know that Dugdale offers mock leno. Do you happen to know if this has the same texture as the Minnis and Smith's versions? The swatch they show online looks smoother, but maybe it's just that they took a photo from further away.

Also, do you know how I can get a Dugdale swatch sent? Do you just contact Dugdale directly or do they have agents?

I'm afraid sry, I don't know much about dugdales mock leno. I have only handled the smiths and minnis and have/get sportcoats from both. The smiths is pending..

I have the same impression. The smiths really has an other level of depth and more than only brown yarns woven in it.

In germany they have a distributor but when I mailed them they were positive at least about sending swatches directly. Just as @classicalthunde mentioned.

If you need the smiths swatch for comparison I can *send you mine as I don't need it anymore.

On a side note: casa del sarto did a run of rtw jackets for the decorum bangkok. maybe they have a spare length and are willing to sell it?

Thanks! I sent an email to the US agent for Harrison's. Will see if they have that dark brown Smiths Mock Leno, and if I can get a swatch. If I'm not able to locate it, I'll let you know. Thanks again for your help.
