speaking of, when are we gonna see an action shot of purple tragedy...
What are your favorite patterns, weight, and color for sport coats? What’s your go to jacket in the winter?I am sure that will be even more durable than it needs to be.

Purple just sounds amazing.
Caught a lot of flack for it.
What have you got from Ardalanish? I love their tweeds so much. I've got a length of the deep brown "Hebridean Hopsack" waiting to be made up right now.I have a basket of tweeds for the winter, and a couple of navy blazers. Many of the tweeds are from LL, but also Ardanalish, and (on a different angle) one of A&S's old Breanish patterns.
Not a lot of more luxurious fabrics, for the most part. I may get around to something of that sort. Normally, when I want to wear something soft and light, though, I reach for a sweater.

From Edwin and Matthew or here on the forum?
Much scratchier, and more rustic and substantial than Shetlands. Less plump (and probably more durable) than modern Harris. Pretty much all of it made from undyed wool, so none of the luxurious colors and patterns you'd find in any of those other collections.Do you mind sharing what you love specifically about these? I am shopping for a tweed at the moment to have made up for the winter. Looking for something mid-dark brown. How do these Ardalanish tweed compare to the likes of Harris and Shetland?

I think I brought this up before, but is there some way to catalog the contents of this thread? It is one of my favorites and I‘ve followed it for years. However, at over 2000 pages, I don‘t remember everything. It‘s often the case that I‘m looking for a specific cloth recommendation months after a similar discussion has played out and I feel sheepish repeating the question.
So, what do you guys do? Do you use the search function to search through everything or do you bookmark specific posts? Or do you do the baller thing and keep an Excel file of recommended cloths with ref. numbers??
