Sounds like a good plan to me. Perhaps if someone wants to announce that they are offering some things for swap they can write CLOTH SWAP in big bold letters at the top of the post and then people can PM that person if they are interested and have something fun available.

Cool...I'll get the ball rolling tomorrow (with something you should recognize David!).

Got hold of several meters of fabric from a mill in Huddersfield which is labeled (on the selvage) as "super 120's wool vicuna and mink cashmere flannel". From that alone, is there anything can be said about quality?

It's quite a standard-looking barleycorn weave. Look around for sites like this.
Definitely not a barleycorn - it's a simple hopsack weave.

    Nope. Sorry.

Thinking about it. I need to see the Miller's Oath one properly though to see if it's the same fabric.

Is it the Gelly tweed from Bookster?

I usually don't like patterned ties that much but these are exceptionally lovely. Have seen similar ones at E.G. Cappelli and will definitely check out his stock next time I am down in Napoli...

That is lovely in the RIGHT social environment...

I saw a guy wearing one of them in a London bar...

It looks affected and out of place...

Great cloth but I wouldn't go for the super shaped look as in the photo - it doesn't really work in the city or the country. Go less structured - the stuff would be great with jeans and a white shirt.
