OK guys - sorry for the delays on this flannel project. It turns out Fox couldn't weave the color we liked on the earlier samples as a heavier woolen, only as an 11 oz worsted. They've gotten back to us with this yarn, which they can make up as a heavy woolen. It's a touch less brown than the earlier swatch, but I think very nice. Let me know what you think. If you're interested you can also PM me or email [email protected].

Remind me please, is this jacketing only?

That's it! Wonderful fabric.

it was made
by carloway mills
they were given
access to dow's
tweeds and replicated
several

they also recreated
teh goldfinger tweed
of connery
in teh original scale
and colour
for teh sinclair
retrospective in
london

always elegant
like equire 1930
look at the beauty
so made by
hand like 100
years ago
complimenti
so dandy

I have several lengths of fabric that I'm putting up for sale since I'm focusing my future commissions on lighter weight cloths and these are heavy fabrics. Please PM me for prices if you are interested.

From left to right:

London Lounge medium gray hopsack Mistral, 17 oz, 4.5 meters (technically it is from the light gray run, but to me and everyone else it looks like it came out as a medium gray)
Minnis dark gray flannel 329, 13/14 oz (370 g), 4.5 meters
Minnis mid-gray flannel 301, 13/14 oz (400 g), 4 meters

And a 4 meter length of the London Lounge oatmeal Donegal herringbone tweed, a heavy one at 27 oz (775 g)! This may be the one that will be most painful to part with:

I've only used the LL Navy Mistral so far, which made up a fantastic blazer.

I have 2 trouser lengths sitting around of the grey, and I'm sort of wishing that I'd known it would be so dark-- it would make a nice suit.

It may just be in comparison to the other two greys, but that Minnis 0329 looks surprisingly blue on my screen.
